Both Mike Melia (Club Chairman / Assistant Secretary) & Dior Manderson (Club Secretary) have been helping in their communities during the ‘Covid 19’ pandemic.

Mike who lives in Failsworth is working several days a week at his local food bank providing support for those who need it.

Dior has volunteered to support the elderly & vulnerable in the Blackley & Moston area who are currently in self isolation & who can’t leave their home. Dior is helping at her local food bank & is also an emergency contact for her post code, as well as an ‘NHS’ responder for minor medical assistance for people who can’t get to their GP or A & E.

Dior recently posted on the MBFC Team Manager ‘What’s App’ group offering her support in areas such as “ shopping runs, chemist runs, dinners being dropped off or even a little regular phone call to anyone to check they are ok if stuck on their own”, & in typical Dior style she offered even to “turn up dancing on the door step if it’s going to brighten up someone’s day in isolation”.
